Quality Taverns Brand Revamp

The QT Operations team have worked closely with West Yorkshire firm Fishtank Creative to completely rebrand Quality Taverns, as the last branding scheme was created over 12 years ago! As of Monday 27th November, the new QT website will be live! Quality Taverns has benefitted from a new logo and colour scheme, and the pubs across the estate have been fully stocked with branded QT glassware, bar runners, beer mats, window vinyl’s, QT posters and an external wall plaque.

During November, we have seen the launch of new products across the estate, such as London Road Cocktails, a new Wine Menu and a Gin Cocktail List, which has vastly improved the range of products on offer to our customers.

The new Quality Tavern website has a brand new look and modern feel to it, as well as much more in depth information about each pub. There are also live feeds to each Pub’s Facebook page so that the latest posts are always displayed. Customers can now view all of our latest deals as well as browse what careers are available within our estate.

Quality Tavern’s Best Pub 2017 Winners

Throughout the summer months, all of our Pubs participated in the QT’S Best Pub 2017 Competition. The purpose of the competition was to raise the standards across the estate whilst motivating and rewarding the Managers for their efforts. The Pubs were scored on a monthly basis by either Area Manager Peter Cromack or Operations Manager Lauren Crossley. Whichever pub scored the most points in total was crowned the winner and bagged the title of Quality Tavern’s best Pub 2017 as well as the all-important £500 prize money! First place was awarded to the Jolly Roger Pub in Ollerton, congratulations Andrew and Michele!

Second prize, for the Pub which had the most improved score, went to The Saltney Ferry in Chester. They managed to turn their initial poor score of 71.5 to 95.7. What a fantastic turn around, you can really see the difference in the Pub and we hope Liz keeps up to these higher standards… We expect The Saltney to give the Jolly a run for their money next year!

Estate Newbies

QT has been expanding rapidly over 2017, with the addition of four new Pubs and an Operations Manager. The Brandling Inn, Gateshead managed by Diane who previously worked at the pub as an Assistant Manager. Lamplighters, Castleford, managed by Kerry who was recruited by QT when the pub was taken over.

Tumbler Inn, Edlington, Doncaster, managed by Angela, who has now run the pub for over 8 years.

The Tumbler Inn was looking in a sorry state internally when QT took it over. So the pub has definitely benefitted from a full internal refurbishment, which has been very gratefully received by both Angie and the local customers.

The latest addition to our Estate is the Shaw Inn, Barnsley, which was taken over in November and is run by new recruits, Kerry and Wayne. The pub was given a speedy three day refurbishment before opening its doors to the public on Friday 17h November. We were very impressed with the efforts of Kerry, Wayne and their family and friends for all chipping in to turn the pub around and get it open and looking great internally! Team QT would like to welcome Kerry and Wayne on board and we wish them the best of luck for the future.

Insider Info – The Rose of Farington

Each QT Quarterly newsletter will focus on a different pub within the estate and in this quarter’s edition, we took a closer look at the Rose of Farrington, Leyland which is managed by Anthony and Alexandra. This married couple have run the pub since 1st December 2015, they have a 2 year old daughter named Iris and are also expecting their second baby in 2 weeks!

The pub holds regular events and has recently had a very successful ‘Ladies Night’ whereby stalls were set up in the pub by local people selling perfume, handbags, clothes, cakes and Bodyshop products. The Ladies Night also coincided with the new Gin Menu launch and was very well attended. Well done Anthony and Alex and good luck with your new arrival over the next couple of weeks.
